Thanks
for taking the time to view my New Works! I hope you enjoy
these images. My artistic muse continues to enjoy a variety
of mediums and tools! I have spent nearly forty years in relationship
with paint, dyes, fiber, and printmaking, and a smattering
of other arts and crafts. For a number of years, my sister,
an Arizona quiltmaker, has been encouraging me to combine
my various loves into quilted fiber art works and wearable
art fashions. So, thanks to her, I have dipped a tentative
foot into the pool of thread, pigments and fiber.
Finally,
a focus for my stacks of hand dyed and printed fabrics. It
is is a joy, making useful and wearable items from larger
pieces, and incorporating smaller works into new and upcycled
garments. I am still seeking the right project for the lilac
fabric I dyed using local elderberries last year .
My new
works (like all of my previous work) are a continuation of
my explorations into developing inspirational imagery. My
life long interest in living more in harmony, and the development
of a "Green" interest has resulted in the creation
of a few (I call) Recycled/Upcycled garments and bags. So,
on occassion you will find Wearable Art in the Recycled/Upcycled
section.
